My name is Lyn Parker and I began writing in elementary school where I found my passion for creating worlds where I would like to live and travel. I wrote regularly through high school, creating stories and scripts of things I wanted to investigate or how I wanted my life to turn out. I would research topics that interested me, just for fun and although I enjoyed doing this (before computers might I add!), I never pursued publishing any of my writings or researched work. My desire to write was put on hold as I began to raise and homeschool my eight children. I resumed writing in 2005 when I decided to return to college. I graduated in 2008 from the University of Northern Colorado in Greeley with a Bachelor of Arts degree in journalism and Colorado State University-Global Campus with Masters of Science degrees in business management and teaching and learning. Currently, I am pursuing a Master of Arts degree in English and Creative Writing at Southern New Hampshire University. It is my passion to write helpful words that encourage, empower, edify and engage Christian parents in their walk with the Lord and the upbringing of their children.
My husband and I have eight children ages 28, 26, 24, 22, 20, 17, 16, and 14 years old. We also have a daughter-in-love married to our second son, their two beautiful sons and our son-in-love married to our oldest daughter, their beautiful sons! The Lord has blessed us in so many ways including positioning my husband as a Men's Ministry leader and me in Women's Ministry. We currently live in a northern Colorado suburb with 5 of our children at home, the other three in the area and homeschool the two remaining students.
