Homeschool Hump Day Encouragement

One of the best ways I have found to save money on homeschooling, is to buy used textbooks from other homeschoolers. We have accumulated all the materials we needed for teaching all 8 of our children with very minimal expense.
Some of the places to look for used curriculum are:

  • eBay
  • Craigslist
  • Homeschool blogs
  • Facebook

I have found other sites that I enjoy using to go along with some of the other curricula we use, too. Two of my favorites are Khan Academy and Easy Peasy All in One Homeschool. They are available online as a supplement or in some cases, as a full year curriculum. Don't be afraid to check them out, use them, and change them. Your school is just that: YOURS!

You see, you have chosen to provide your children with a unique education. No two homeschooling families are alike. No two children using the exact same curriculum will yield the same results. You are exploring the possibilities of which curricula to use because you truly care about the education your kids receive. And that is a great, selfless act on your part, Homeschooling Momma!

Keep on going and growing!
