Am I Living in God's Will?

I watched a movie recently by Messianic Jewish pastor Jonathan Cahn. In this video, he talks about the Shemitah, the release. I won't get too much into the movie, but definitely encourage you to see it if you can or read the book, The Mystery of the Shemitah by Jonathan Cahn.

Anyway, in the video, Cahn talks about the next Shemitah and the fact that THIS Shemitah is also a Jubilee according to the Jewish calendar. I realized then, that I do not fully grasp the significance of this coming year! Jubilee is the time that all debts are cancelled. In the Shemitah, the Israelites were commanded to sow, reap, harvest and sell for six years. But in the seventh year, they were to do nothing! It was a time to let the land rest and for one full year, they were not to plant or harvest anything and if they did, it would bring judgement. Shemitah also means the fall or collapse, the result of God's judgement. But God says in His Word:

He will take care of us! The things that are happening in the United States and world today are not things that have caught God off guard. He knows the beginning from the end. He did not give us a spirit of fear, but of power and love and sound mind.

Now is the time to focus on living the life He planned for each one of us. Are there things in our lives we're doing that are against His Will? The Word says the things of Earth will shake off, but the things of God will remain.

So while things events of the past several weeks may be disturbing or cause you to be angry, know that the Lord is, and always has been, in control. He is our refuge and our shield; a strong tower to run to in times of need.
